My Name is Lindsey and I’m from Pittsburgh, PA. I am a stay at home mom to my 2 little boys Benjamin (7) & Zachary (5) and wife to my husband, Barry. I am a certified K-6 Elementary Teacher, K-12 ESL Teacher and 6-9 ELA/Math Teacher. I am also a dog, fish and frog mom as well!
Ever since my oldest son started learning his letters and opening books he has been very interested in reading. He always wanted to know what sounds letters made and how to sound out words in the books that we read. I was always searching online, reading blogs and googling like crazy to come up with activities to keep him engaged and ways to help him grow his reading ability!
Never finding exactly what I was looking for and each googling session ending in frustration, I decided to create Classroom Must Haves! This is a space I wanted to create to help moms, dads, teachers, homeschooling parents, caregivers..etc to come and find unique, engaging, standard-aligned, practical activities to help support your child/student on their reading journey.
